NEW! Business Analysis

Develop competencies in business analysis. This program provides a foundation of business analysis tools and ties these tools together in the context of real-world business challenges. The curriculum is aligned with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) body of knowledge with extra emphasis on soft skills and real-life case studies.

Designed for individuals with business experience who want to build or increase their knowledge, skills and abilities in business analysis.

Part-time study. 100% online courses.

Delivered in a series of 7 intensive online courses. Includes lectures, readings, research assignments, discussion and projects.

Tuition: Approx. $1,300 CAD per course.

NEW! Program Management

Learn what it takes to go beyond project management and into the realm that has direct impact on the accomplishment of organizational objectives. This program is based on the three cornerstones of the PMI standard: benefits management, stakeholder management and governance.

Designed for those with business management, financial and/or operational experience, looking to build or increase their knowledge, skills and abilities in program management.

Part-time study. 100% online courses.

Delivered in a series of intensive online courses. Includes lectures, readings, research assignments, discussion and projects.

Tuition: Approx. $2,000 CAD per course.

Web Intelligence

This innovative program equips you with the cutting-edge skills and knowledge to excel in the emerging field of web analysis and web intelligence.

The University of British Columbia Continuing Studies has joined with the University of California Irvine, University Extension, to offer this exciting certificate program.

The program is designed to benefit marketing and IT managers involved in the development and deployment of Internet initiatives, including interactive marketers, web/marketing analysts, project managers, web developers, information architects, consultants, systems and business analysts as well as corporate executives in IT, e-commerce, marketing and sales.

Part-time study. 100% online courses.

Delivered in a series of intensive online courses. Includes lectures, readings, research assignments, discussion and projects.

Tuition: approximately $4,100 CAD (plus $125 USD Request to Graduate fee payable to UCI.)

Entertainment Administration Part-Time Certificate

A program especially designed for professionals who wish to continue working while earning their certificate. Targetted towards people interested in becoming successful producers, managers or film and TV business professionals, the program is delivered evenings and weekends.

Professionals who have film, TV or entertainment industry experience and are seeking business and management skills for career advancement. The program is also designed for professionals who have managerial and business skills in another field, and need training that will allow them to cross over to the field of entertainment. This is not an entry-level program.

Part-time study.

Participants register on a course-by-course basis. The program consists of 240 hours of required courses to be completed over a two-year period. An internship is not included in this program.

Tuition: approximately $7,500 CAD.

Project Management

Enhance your ability to manage projects of any size on time, on budget. Select one of the specializations in business systems analysis, and strategic leadership.

Designed for experienced project managers facing new challenges and novice managers leading their first project, the program is compatible with the industry standard set by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Part-time evening & weekend option.

3 month Core Program and specialization courses to be completed over 2 years.

Tuition: $5,800 CAD for the Core Program and approximately $3,250-$4,500 CAD for Specializations.

100 % online option

4 courses of 12 weeks in duration must be completed over a two year period.

Tuition: $2,000 CAD per course and fees are paid on a course by course basis. Plus a $175 administration fee. Books are not included in the course fees.

Integrated Marketing Strategy

Learn the advantages of and techniques for integrating marketing strategies that employ consistent themes and branding through all communication channels.

Designed for sales representatives, marketers, sales managers, marketing managers, managers, entrepreneurs and consultants looking to utilize traditional and digital tools and techniques to build integrated marketing strategies into their current marketing or business plans.

Part-time study. 50% online.

The program consists of eight courses, and is delivered in a combination of 100% online and face-to-face sessions.

Tuition: fees for the UBC Certificate in Integrated Marketing Strategy are outlined on the program web site.

Multimedia and
Web Development

Learn the essentials of web site design, authoring and web project management.

Designed as an entry-level program for those interested in creating and publishing web sites or presenting interactive multimedia.

Part-time study.

Register on a course-by-course basis. Includes 200 hours of hands-on labs, seminars, lectures, assignments and team projects.

Tuition: approximately
$6,500 CAD.
